Thanks for sharing this! One of the main goals of the work was to make ePBS easier to reason about and audit — not just for people already deep in the specs, but also for external reviewers who want to understand the guarantees, assumptions, and tradeoffs without first having to dig through the Python implementation. We also wanted it to be a fairly self-contained reference, especially given that both the specs and ePBS itself are still evolving. Some parts are still WIP as we continue interacting with protocol developers and the specs evolve over time, but I think one of the most important sections is the one on properties: we wanted to clearly express what guarantees ePBS provides, to which actors, and under which assumptions and conditions.
